Uh, just what are they selling?
The following image was in a department store ad that came in the paper yesterday. I'm confused. What exactly
is an active bottom? And should folks really allow a teenage daughter to have one?
But seriously, in my youthful days I could swear I remember them being called gym shorts—which seems simple enough while explaining the functionality. When did they become "active bottoms?" That just doesn't sound right.

Are you trying to suggest there is something lurid about advertising juniors active bottoms? Would it be any less lurid if they advertised it more correctly -- their teens' gym shorts are half off!
