Last month I removed the sidebar link to the L.A. Times page where they listed the complete Nielsen prime-time TV ratings for the week for general over-the-air broadcast TV (i.e. not cable or satellite, but since I don't subscribe to either of those, that's fine by me). I did so because the paper seemed to be having trouble publishing them consistently. I even emailed the paper once in an effort to point out that they published an incomplete list that week (Veronica Mars was not listed that week even though I know a new episode was broadcast), but received one of those annoying (not to mention late) non-responsive responses we all so often get when we ask a question looking for any sort of support/assistance.
Well, thanks to my good friend Bob, the matter has now been resolved (I hope). It seems that the paper has moved the list to a sub-page just under the page where the link previously would appear. As far as I can tell they've never actually highlighted the fact that the ratings list moved. I mean, why would they do that? So people could find it? Nah, we can't have that...
Anyway, since it appears to be consistently findable again, I've returned the link to the sidebar. I don't know about anyone else, but I like to check out how some of my favorite shows are doing once in a while.
